Week notes, week 1339 / 2026-09-20

I really need to get into habit of writing weeknotes on Saturday night or Sunday... it's already Thursday Saturday (It's almost time to write my next week's notes, what am I doing aaaaa), and I've nearly forgotten what I did last week!

But lets see....

• I cleared out a bit of my inbox! ✨
• I took a nice, long walk on Saturday morning—about 2 hours to a further-away park, then about as much back. It all culminated in a fancy crafts/hobby store, where I bought myself some better origami paper! Surely this will help make the rat which Joel featured last week!
• Started learning German! 😊 Ich sprehe .. err.. un peu.. Deutsch? 😇 Yeah, we'll get there. It blocks out about 8 hours of my non-work time, though, and that has been hard to get used to.
• Work has been going alright. No fancy progress, but plenty of investigation into IPv6 matters (I think I finally got all I need? It certainly was an experience to learn, twice, that in a packet-based network, all participants (likely including routers!) need to have IP addresses known by others for routing to work 😂) and documentation, on account of somebody needing to do those tasks.
• I the batteries of the analog clock in my room ran out, which sparked a fun conversation with Ruben of kedara.eu.

Reading, games, and other media consumption

• Been watching the Minecraft hardcore series, Naked and Afraid season 3 as it comes out, and... I feel like Season 1 was still best, but let's see if anything changes my mind. 😁
• Started going through some of the Avengers... Adventure! comics after the end of Darths&Droids. I love the campaign webcomic format, apparently!
• Not much else, but.. I can always link to Block Packing Game as something I regularly play to quiet my mind a bit. (:
